106   Two registered covers, posted 2 VIII 1930, Addis Ababa to France, which, taken together, are franked with a complete set of ten (10) of the essays for the Hayle Selassie coronation issue with vertical overprints, as discussed in Payne (IV, p32), Yvert 171-78. Amiens rec'd on the reverse of each cover. The one thaler value is overprinted in very intense black, the same color as the 1m value, rather than green, the color listed both by Payne and Sciaky. Floyd pointed out to me that the black overprint on the 1 th value is mentioned in updates to the Payne handbooks, which were published in The Lion. Each cover is very slightly reduced at the right. A beautiful and rare pair of covers. Est $575
